What is CIP?
Cleaning In Place (CIP), also known as cleaning positioning or positioning cleaning. CIP cleaning system is widely used in food and beverage production enterprises with high degree of mechanization such as beverage, dairy, juice, pulp, jam and alcohol.
CIP cleaning process
At present, there are mainly three forms:
Three-step CIP process:
1. Pre-rinse
2. Cleaning agent cleaning
3. Final rinse
Five-step CIP process:
1. Pre-rinse
2. Cleaning agent cleaning
3. Rinse
4. Cleaning agent cleaning
5. Final rinse
Seven-step CIP process:
1. Pre-rinse
2. Cleaning agent cleaning
3. Rinse
4. Cleaning agent cleaning
5. Rinse
6. Disinfect
7. Final rinse
The first step in any CIP cleaning process should be a strong water flush to remove any loose particles.
